I have most of the books by Dr. James L. Fisher and this one is another 'must-have' book for everyone engaged in the leadership field. I strongly recommend you this book and you will read it within a day! It will absorb you and will have you re-read the book over and over again!

This book was a revelation to me. The idea that stress can be a positive force in my life is something I never realized. These two women have really caught the essence of true empowerment by teaching us how to change a negative emotion into something positive and useful.

This book offers an alternative to all other "how to deal with stress" books - it really works! It is a positive, realistic approach to recognizing the stress in your life and learning how to change that stress from within. Stress is all around us but what matters most is how we learn to use our own positive energy to either conquer the stress or accept it in a new format. It will change the way you see stress and the way in which you find solutions to it. Drs. Holmes and Webb are two incredible women who truly have the gift of being teachers. They will teach, inform and delight you as you learn that stress really can be good for you - really!

Amazingly, this book succeeds in covering all of the major topics related to distribution planning: demand, criteria, relia iblity, economics, equipment sizing, feeder layout, substations, service level, forecasting, tools, and much more. It even ties all of these subjects together in three ways with chapters on the overall T&D system, the distribution planning process, and industry paridigms.

There is so much to learn from this book. In addition serving as a self-instruction guide, it is also filled with reference material, tons of practical advise, and innumerable insights that challenge common assumptions. This book will become a classic.

Although titled "Distribution" this book really refers to the entire transmission-substation-distribution system. This book is extremely well organized and serves as both a reference book and a tutorial for self study. As a reference, it has a lengthy index and good sensible organization of topics, so it is easy to jump right to the item desired. As a tutorial it really shines due to its organization and a simple, direct style of writing. The book's first few chapters review basics such as electric load, equipment, economics, reliability, and so forth. Each such chapter builds rather linearly in detail, and shows how its topics interrelate to the others. Examples are given frequently, using real-world problems and numbers. The rest of the book then examines power delivery systems in a bottom up approach. the author begins with line segments and transformer economics and selection, and shows progressively how element are combined into feeder circuits, into groups of feeders, into sets of groups to form a substation area, and so forth, up to the entire system. At each level, the various tradeoffs in design and cost are examined, and it is shown how the system is optimized and how that optimization impacts other levels of the system. The explanations of feeder layout and configuration tradeoffs, and how to maximize benefit and use flexibility of options in design, are by far the most thorough I've ever seen. There are many case studies and solved problems shown, all of which use real utility system situations and make excellent learning examples. The book is relatively easy to read considering the depth of coverage, but there is a tremendous number of factors and issues that are covered, making it slow learning. However, nowhere else have I seen distribution covered in nearly as much detail or so broadly with respect to performance and cost. Overall, this the most useful book I have seen on distribution planning or systems design.

My wife and I used Praying God's Will For My Son to help us pray for our adopted children even before they came to the US. It helped us bless them and increased our bonding with them.

(Romans 8:38-39)

This book is a wonderful tool to use during prayer time. It is divided into short chapters addressing different topics (anger, attitude, fear, etc) Each chapter contains several short scriptural prayers related to the topic. It has been a beneficial and uplifting and encouraging book to use.

Greatest resource for Christians who are expecting that I've ever had. I wish it would have been available with my first 5 children.

My very thoughtful sister-in-law, after finding out that I was pregnant (this is our first), sent me this book. It is a wonderful journal that is Scripturally based, which I like a lot. Each trimester has it's own overview, each week it's own devotional, and you get a few lines to fill in each day what you were feeling, etc. Highly recommended for anyone who would like something personally meaningful to hand down to their child.

I bought this book for genealogical purposes, but found that it was a very enjoyable book to read and explained the culture of the Tobacco Coast to me better than several other books I have read. There was also enough detail that I felt I understood much more of the thought processes of the people I have been tracing and has fleshed out their surroundings in a very complete way.

Professor Lee gives us a scholarly review of a microcosm of the culture and weltanshauung of a relatively backwater Maryland county headed into revolution. That such scholarship is targeted at a minor topic is truly impressive. If anything, it gives one pause as to whether the investment in academic research in history is overdone. For here is a representative picture drawn, but at such detail it must have taken tremendous resources. One wonders what topics suffer to give such infinite color to a tiny leaf on a giant tree. But the beauty of scholarship and solid writing for those interested in this topic, such as genealogists or revolutionary war scholars, will find this book a delightfully sharp and detailed portrait of a place whose most might town was the now unremembered "Port Tobacco."

A friend of the family gave me this book when I was a child in Massachusetts... I read it over and over again and laughed out loud every time. Now I have two small children of my own and they choose to hear these stories all the time. When I just searched Amazon to find a copy to give to my son's teacher for his class, I was shocked to find that "Princess Hynchatti" was out of print! Princes, Princesses and Witches...adventures and humor, love stories..this collection of stories has it all. Please re-print this book!

My grandfather gave me this book when I was little, and I have read it over and over again since then. This is one of the best collections of fairy-tale type stories I have ever come across - not violent, sappy or stupid, just extremely silly and charming and fun. I cannot believe that this book is out of print, and that it is likely to be lost to the world. This book is even better than the Harry Potter ones which are now winning over the world; unfortunately, probably since it came out in the 1970s when children's books weren't exactly enjoying a heyday, this book never seems to have gotten the fame and loyal following it deserves. I recommend it to everyone, of any age.

While the ending was satisfying, after spending so much time with Junee, I wasn't ready for it to end. I want to know more about what happens to her. Junee is a very intriguing and strong protagonist, and in a flashback that lasts for the majority of the novel, we learn the chilling and unforgettable events that led up to the emotional first moments of the book. But, to me at least, there is much more of Junee's story to tell, and I hope some day to be able to read more of her undoubtedly fascinating future.

It should be fairly obvious that I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Although I couldn't directly relate to the characters, I found them to be interesting, and in Junee's case in particular, memorable. My only peeve is the use of the flashback to tell the majority of the story. As with all stories told in this manner, I would've preferred that it unfold linearly instead, from beginning to end. But it didn't greatly affect my enjoyment, and I'm glad to have read Princess June.

This may be the first novel of a new author from a small press, but don't let that fool you. For me, it was a true find. I cannot remember when was the last time a novel captivated and touched me quite like this one has. I read it twice back to back and discovered that the story has multiple layers. That was surprising because the author's writing style appears simple and straight-forward on the surface. I would say that the language is compact but it isn't dry by any means. On the contrary, this is a passionate and emotionally charged writing with exquisite passages that may be described as lyrical or poetic. But the author doesn't get bogged down trying to be too precious with words. The language works on your own imagination instead. You "see" images in your mind as you read. It's the kind of writing style that doesn't call attention to itself but to the content and the characters. The storyline flows easily and smoothly at a nice, crisp clip. But the characters are what's central here. There are a wide variety of fascinating characters, both Koreans and Americans, from all walks of life. The author's understanding of psychology is "right on" and she has created all her characters with such care that you feel like they are right there with you on your side. These characters feel so real! And you grasp the sense of a whole character all at once, just from a few bits of descriptions and from the way they talk. It's exciting to be one of the first to discover a new voice that is so uniquely original with heart and vision to give as gifts.
